Early Years Classroom Assistant
Grade: TA 2
Attendance: 22 hours per week, term time only plus inset days.

The Governing Body of Elmley Castle CofE First School is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work mainly in EYFS provision, in our pre-school and Reception /year 1 class. The successful candidate will be expected to provide general classroom support when required, working alongside the early years team, and to deliver programmes of learning to specific individuals / small groups of pupils. Experience of working with these age groups is essential, with at least a level 2 qualification. Applicants should state any areas of expertise they may be able to bring to the school. This is an exciting opportunity to work with delightful children as part of a dedicated and inspired staff team.

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR
We are seeking an enthusiastic, Lunchtime Supervisor to become part of our friendly and committed team. The post holder will assist with lunchtimes; setting up the hall, supporting children while they are eating their lunch and supervising the children at play. Hours of work are:
Mon-Fri, 11.50am- 1.20pm
We are looking for someone who;
- Enjoys working with children
- Is polite, professional and able to develop positive relationships with children
- Is able to speak to children confidently and sensitively
- Is able to work as part of a team – listening to others, sharing ideas, being helpful to one another
- Is flexible and able to use their initiative
The post will involve setting up and putting away tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping floors - so anyone applying will need to be reasonably fit and strong – and have a certain amount of stamina.
No qualifications are necessary but a Food Hygiene Certificate would be useful and a willingness to undertaken any other training necessary.
