Elmley Castle CofE First School, often described as a ‘real gem,’ is a delightful small village school, situated between Pershore and Evesham at the foot of Bredon Hill. The Governing Body of Elmley Castle CofE First School is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a child with complex needs, in our Reception /year 1 class. The successful candidate will be expected support a child with social and emotional difficulties to access the provision. They will also provide general classroom support when required, working alongside the early years team and support at break and lunchtimes.  Experience of working with these age groups is essential, with at least a level 2 qualification. Applicants should state any areas of expertise they may be able to bring to the school, full training will be given for the right candidate. Experience in working with a trauma informed approach would be advantageous. This is an exciting opportunity to work with delightful children as part of a dedicated and inspired staff team.

  • Be able to reflect the values of our Church school
