Teaching Assistant- KS2 Level 2 (maternity Cover)

Required as soon as possible

Teaching Assistant TA2

33.25 hours a week. Term time only plus INSET days

Hours of Work: Mon 8-12pm, 1-3.15pm Tues-Friday 8am-12pm,  12.30-3.15pm.

Temporary to cover maternity leave

 

Elmley Castle CofE First School, often described as a ‘real gem,’ is a delightful small village school, situated between Pershore and Evesham at the foot of Bredon Hill. The Governing Body of Elmley Castle CofE First School is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work mainly in Key Stage two provision, a mixed year 4/5 class. The successful candidate will be expected to provide general classroom support when required, working alongside the class teacher, to deliver programmes of learning to specific individuals / small groups of pupils. Experience of working with these age groups is highly desirable, with at least a level 2 qualification. Applicants should state any areas of expertise they may be able to bring to the school. This is an exciting opportunity to work with delightful children as part of a dedicated and inspired staff team.

Lunchtime Supervisor

Start Date: ASAP

 

Children’s Supervisor Salary Scale 1, point 1

4.5 hours a week (1 ½ hours per day; 11.50-1.20) Mon, Tues and Thurs (plus overtime cover possible)

Contract: Part time and Term time only

 We are seeking an enthusiastic, Lunchtime Supervisor to become part of our supportive, friendly and committed team.  The post holder will assist with lunchtimes; setting up the hall, supporting children while they are eating their lunch and supervising the children at play.

We are looking for someone who; 

  • Enjoys working with children
  • Is polite and able to develop positive relationships with all
  • Is able to speak to children sensitively
  • Is able to work as part of a team – listening to others, sharing ideas, being helpful to one another
  • Is sensible and able to use their initiative

 The post will involve setting up and putting away tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping floors - so anyone applying will need to be reasonably fit and strong – and have a certain amount of stamina.

They will also need to be mindful of the specific needs of children on our SEND register or those that have medical needs. Full training will be given.

 No qualifications are necessary but a Food Hygiene Certificate would be useful.
