We have wonderful facilities for sports here at ECFS with a huge green space with football goals and a netball court on tarmac.

This year alone the children have been taught tennis and table tennis by a World Champion, dance by a British and International Champion, sports circuits and sports mentality by a Paralympian and swimming planned by a Swim England Level 2 qualified coach. This is in addition to a outdoor adventurous activities with a forest school provision extended beyond Key Stage One. It is important to us that the choice is broad and inclusive and fully aligns with the National Curriculum.

National Curriculum for PE in England

The National PE Curriculum also ensures that we focus on mental as well as physical wellbeing. We are delighted to promote that we are a 'HAPPYMIND' school, a scientifically based programme for understanding mental wellbeing, accredited by the NHS.

Physical activity is integral to our school day and calendar. We offer a range of extra-curriculum clubs, wellbeing weeks, physical residentials, water sports  to name but a few,  as well as a partaking in external cluster tournaments.

Cricket is a particular favourite in the summer as is our traditional Oak Apple maypole performance in May, a 150 year school tradition. We are lucky to have staff who have personal skills in hockey, netball, football and badminton which they love to share with our children.  Our vast on-site Forest school provides us enormous scope to explore outdoor adventurous activities. We also enjoy swimming at Pershore Leisure Centre, Bell boating on the River Avon and Bike-ability in Key Stage Two.
